MARIAN YEAR PRAYER TO ST. ANNE [1988]

Between Mary's birth and her Assumption, we see the love 0f the Father, the action of the Spirit and the acceptance (Fiat) of Mary; they combine to give us the Redeemer.

Blessed be you, Saint Anne, for being the mother of Mary!

Blessed be you for being the grandmother of Jesus!

In this Marian Year we wish to praise Mary in union with you.

With you we wish to invoke her.

Blessed be Mary for she is filled with grace!

Blessed be Mary for she is the Mother of our Redeemer!

May Mary teach us how to grow in our faith.

May her "Be it done unto me'" be the model of our response

to God's love,

May her way of storing up in her heart all God's deeds

be an example for us to imitate.

May all pilgrims discover her who is "the beginning of the Church".

With you, Good Saint Anne, we entrust to our mother Mary

the entire Church, the future of our world, all who are sick,

afflicted, handicapped or living with other kinds of suffering.

With the firmest of faith we pray .

"Pray for us sinners, who are in search of hope".
