N.B. SOUTHERN ITALY: There are not yet any Indult Latin Masses south of Rome (although there is an Indult movement at Naples) but there are parishes of the Greek-Catholic (Byzantine) Rite in both Sicily and Calabria. The Byzantine Church of Southern Italy has never been separated from Rome; it has a continuous history of union with the Holy See.  Greek-Catholic traditional masses are offered in every parish of the Eparchy of Lungro (in Calabria) and Piana della Albanese (in Sicily). These sees are directly subject to Rome and they exist in the same territory as local Roman-Rite sees.
