LISTING OF TRADITIONAL MASSES WHICH HAVE BEEN APPROVED UNDER PAPAL AUTHORITY. -- REPUBLIC OF
SLOVAKIA -- Slovakia is an independent Republic which used to be the easternmost province of
communist Czechoslovakia. It should not be confused with the Republic of Slovenia, which
was formerly part of Yugoslavia. There are no indult masses in Slovakia but there are two jurisdictions for the Slovakian Use of the Byzantine Rite; namely, the Eparchy of Preov and the Apostolic Vicariate of Kosice. The Eparchy is located in the easternmost part of the country and the Vicariate covers the rest of the country. |
